Why Gatherings Exists

Gatherings was created to make friendship, fun, and real-life connection easier to build into everyday life.

Our Story

Social lives change.

Children grow up. Careers shift. Relationships evolve. Friends move. Schedules become more complicated.

At the same time, many women want more than occasional small talk, another formal organization, or a crowded calendar of events.

They want people to call, places to go, shared experiences, familiar faces, and a stronger sense of community.

Gatherings provide the gentle structure that helps those relationships grow.

Our Mission

To create welcoming and accessible ways for women to build stronger social lives through shared experiences, consistent community, and real-life connection.

What We Believe

“Their attention to detail and commitment to quality truly stood out. We’ve already recommended them to others.”

Connection often begins with a game, a meal, a trip, or a shared laugh.

Friendship Needs Rhythm

Relationships grow when people have repeated opportunities to spend time together.

Small Invitations Matter

A walk, coffee, game, or casual dinner can be the beginning of real community.

Everyone Can Contribute

Community should not depend on one person doing everything.

Belonging Should Be Accessible

A meaningful social life should not require an expensive clubhouse or an exclusive network.

About Alexis McGlynn

Alexis McGlynn is the founder of Gatherings Social Club.

She created Gatherings after recognizing how many women wanted more friendship, fun, and meaningful connection but did not necessarily want another formal club, networking organization, or self-improvement program.

Her background in psychology, coaching, group facilitation, and community building informs the structure behind Gatherings.

The experience itself is intentionally social, welcoming, and enjoyable.

Alexis currently leads Gatherings in the Hamptons and New York City while developing tools that will allow other women to bring the model to their own communities.

A Note From Alexis

I believe many women are not lacking interesting lives.

We are often lacking easy ways to bring people together within those lives.

Gatherings is about creating more invitations, more shared experiences, and more opportunities to know one another over time.

You do not need to be the perfect host. You do not need to know everyone. You only need a place to begin.

Come gather with us.
