The Inner Table

In collaboration with Culinary Nutritionist Stefanie Sacks, MS, CNS, CDN, author of What The Fork Are You Eating and founder of WTFork.com, invites you to the next edition of The Inner Table.

For one intimate evening, we gather around the table with just 10 guests for an experience rooted in the 3C’s: conversation, connection, and community building. This is not networking. This is not a dinner party. This is a return to the table as a place of nourishment, presence, and meaningful connection.

Each gathering features a purposeful, health-supportive menu that is seasonal, anti-inflammatory, always gluten-free, and primarily dairy-free, thoughtfully crafted with intention and care. Equally important, these evenings are alcohol-free, creating space for clearer conversation, deeper presence, and more authentic connection.

If food is medicine, this is nourishment in its fullest expression, for the body, the mind, and the soul.

Wednesday, June 10
6:30 PM
Limited to 10 guests only

Evening of Wabi Sabi: The Art of Ikebana and Mindful Gathering

Evening of Wabi Sabi: The Art of Ikebana and Mindful Gathering

This evening invites you to slow down and notice what is often overlooked, the quiet beauty of imperfection, impermanence, and simplicity. Rooted in the philosophy of Wabi Sabi, we gather not to perfect, but to appreciate: the asymmetry of a branch, the subtle curve of a petal, the space between.

As we explore the art of Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging, we’ll focus on balance, restraint, and intention, learning to create with fewer elements, allowing each one to speak. This is not about abundance, but about meaning. Each stem, each angle, each empty space becomes part of the story.

Guests will have the opportunity to create their own Ikebana arrangement to take home, a personal expression of the evening’s practice and a reminder of beauty found in simplicity. On hand to guide our efforts will be Elisa Herr, who has lived in Japan and studied the art of Ikebana firsthand. Drawing on her experience and deep appreciation for Japanese aesthetics, she will offer insight into both the techniques and the philosophy behind the practice, helping us approach each arrangement with mindfulness and care.

As we explore this practice, we will enjoy a selection of snacks inspired by Japanese flavors, simple, seasonal, and prepared to reflect the same spirit of harmony and mindfulness.

Let this be an evening of quiet creativity, where nothing needs to be flawless, and everything is worthy of attention.

The Inner Table

In collaboration with Culinary Nutritionist Stefanie Sacks, MS, CNS, CDN, author of What The Fork are You Eating and founder of WTFork.com, Gatherings Social Club is offering an exclusive monthly supper club, The Inner Table

For over 20 years, Stefanie has used food and nutrition education, combined with culinary skill-building, as a conduit for transformation, helping people rebuild trust with their bodies and cultivate lasting wellness.

Each month, we host a small group of 10 guests only for an evening rooted in the 3C’s: conversation, connection, and community building. This is not networking. This is not a dinner party. This is a return to the table as a place of nourishment and meaning.

Every gathering centers around a purposeful, health-supportive menu, seasonal, anti-inflammatory, always gluten-free and primarily dairy-free, crafted with intention and care. Equally important, these evenings are alcohol-free, what unfolds in its absence is something rare: clearer conversation, deeper presence, and more authentic connection.

If food is medicine, this is nourishment in its fullest expression—for the body, the mind, and the soul.

Afternoon Tea at The Baker House

Join us at The Baker House 1650 for a beautifully curated Afternoon Tea featuring a refined selection of teas by Plain-T, and an elegant spread of light bites and sweet treats. It’s the kind of gathering that invites you to slow down, settle in, and enjoy meaningful conversation in a truly charming setting.

This beloved tradition dates back to the 1840s, when Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford, began hosting afternoon tea to satisfy a midday craving. What started as a simple ritual quickly became a social staple, and we’re keeping that spirit alive with a modern touch.

$119 per person
Includes tea service, lite bites, sweets, tax, tip, and Eventbrite fee.
